There are songs that we love and there are dances that tell a story and inspire us.
I see all these come together as I watched USA Gymnast Simone Biles and her professional dance partner, Sasha Farber danced to Simone’s chosen song in Dancing with the Stars. Biles, who was adopted as a kid, chose a Chris Tomlin* song: Good Good Father. Biles runs to her adoptive father at the end of the dance.
Watch and be inspired 🙂
*Chris Tomlin is a known contemporary Christian songwriter and worship leader from the US.
I’ve recently searched for some of the earliest worship songs that I have enjoyed and have been blessed with by Vineyard Worship. Below are most songs of their Vineyard Intimacy 1998 album. I think they are still as powerful today in drawing you to a place of rest and love in the Lord.
“…times of refreshment will come from the presence of the Lord…” Acts 3:20
Reading God’s Word, repenting of our sinful ways — these lead to times of refreshing before God. Listening to worship music also helps in ushering us into God’s presence where there is peace and fullness of joy. Below is this music video from YouTube which has been helpful indeed in bringing me back to where I need to be so that life will continue to make sense and have meaning.
Be refreshed as you listen 🙂
