Simone Biles Dances to Chris Tomlin Song in Dancing with the Stars

There are songs that we love and there are dances that tell a story and inspire us.

I see all these come together as I watched USA Gymnast Simone Biles and her professional dance partner, Sasha Farber danced to Simone’s chosen song in Dancing with the Stars. Biles, who was adopted as a kid, chose a Chris Tomlin* song: Good Good Father. Biles runs to her adoptive father at the end of the dance.

Watch and be inspired 🙂

*Chris Tomlin is a known contemporary Christian songwriter and worship leader from the US.

Playing the Ukulele

One of my favorite performers in the Asia’s Got Talent is the pretty and talented Sydney from Thailand who played gloriously the ukulele.

I have to admit that after watching, hearing Sydney play, I will not look at the ukulele the same way again.

As a kid, I had my time of experimenting, playing as a ukulele beginner. It is not that hard to learn to play that instrument and you can readily buy one as well, even from online shops. I also have to admit that I don’t think I would ever be able to play as beautifully as Sydney. Well, you and I may not be the superb ukulele players but we can still play music straight from our hearts 🙂

Waiting for Wonder Woman

I grew up watching the Wonder Woman TV series in the ’70s (which gives you an idea of how old I am 🙂 ).

I have often wondered as a kid and then a teenager why a movie (as far as I know) had not been made about this powerful woman out to save the world. All we have had were movie after movie of male comic super heroes (Superman, Batman, Spiderman) through the years. But as Wonder Woman does not rule my own real universe, I have forgotten about my interest in seeing her in a full-blown movie on the wide cinema screen. Then Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice happened and I got a glimpse again of Wonder Woman. I wondered: could it be that she will finally have a movie of her own soon?

Indeed 2017 will mean seeing Wonder Woman in her own movie at last. And judging by the trailer, it seems like a good one 🙂  I look forward to seeing it. Hopefully, it will indeed be worth the wait 🙂

Watch the trailer below of the movie, with no less than the beautiful Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman.
